Located at the heart of Southeastern Virginia and Hampton Roads immediately adjacent to I-64, our facilities are strategically located within five minutes of Norfolk International Terminal and 35 minutes or less from all other major port and rail facilities in the region.

NWDC is part of the Container Port Group family of companies. Together we offer intermodal services, drayage to and from all port facilities, CFS services, and distribution, cross-docking, and truckload services.

Our terminal is equipped with a rail spur and is served by Norfolk Southern. One of our specialties is import/export trans-loading of cargo such as automobiles, boats, campers, farming equipment, marble, granite, bricks, canned goods, super-sacks, powders, granules, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

We have the ability to handle a wide range of products from commodities such as cotton, paper, plywood, steel coils, metal sheets, copper piping, and raw goods to high end electronics such as radios, TV’s, computers, and electrical components and accessories. We even offer over five acres of outside storage area for parking of containers and outside storage of products.

NWDC also offers a variety of material handling equipment such as slip-sheets attachments, extended blades, boom attachments, drum clamps, paper clamps, and cotton clamps. We can also handle floor loaded freight.

Our forklift lifting capacity ranges from 5,000 lbs. up to 52,000 lbs. We offer contract crane services for extremely overweight and oversized products. Our value added services include, but are not limited to, light assembly, labeling, inventory management, stretch-wrapping, cleaning of product, kitting, and pallet rework.

Our indoor loading facility can handle three flatbeds at one time so that weather does not hinder us from meeting your schedule. Our inventory management system is Accuplus by LDS and is RFID/EDI capable. We can even offer online inventory visibility.
